Meet the Team
Decades of Experience. One Shared Mission.
Our team of three dedicated educators brings a combined wealth of classroom, campus, and community experience to every engagement.
Recently retired after 35 years of dedicated service in education, Jon Rothe has shaped learning at every level — from middle school classrooms to university graduate courses. As a former public school music director who also earned his administrative credential, and an adjunct professor in both the music department and teacher credentialing program at the University of La Verne, Jon possesses a rare, comprehensive view of school leadership, teacher development, and student success. He now brings a lifetime of classroom mastery, institutional leadership, and firsthand insight to his work in professional development to help the next generation of educators thrive.
Cindie Rothe is the founder and creator of the Five Pillars of Professional Parlance and the author of the framework's original books, materials, and instructional content. Drawing on 26 years of middle-school teaching experience, she has developed original educational frameworks and curriculum designed to make complex skills practical, memorable, and usable for educators and students alike. Her earlier work includes We Write Right!, an original writing curriculum and unpublished book project developed to support structured, effective student writing. She later created the Professional Parlance framework to strengthen leadership, workplace culture, professional trust, and educator support. With degrees in Communication (B.S.), Education (M.Ed.), and Law (J.D.), Cindie brings together classroom experience, curriculum design, strategic communication, and structured leadership development.
Monica Rubio brings energy, dedication, and a passion for educational excellence to the Parlance Leadership Group. With 19 years of experience as a music educator and an administrative credential, she brings a deep understanding of instructional leadership, curriculum design, and school operations. Her background uniquely bridges creative teaching with effective educational management. With 7 years of experience as an Assistant Principal, she has a deep understanding of campus leadership, school culture, and the day-to-day realities of supporting both staff and students. She is committed to helping leaders and educators build thriving school communities.
How We Work
How We Support Your Campus
We don't offer one-size-fits-all professional development. Instead, we work alongside your leadership team to deliver what your campus actually needs.
- Cultivate leaders who build people, not just manage systems
- Develop relational leadership skills that increase trust and buy-in
- Provide actionable tools that immediately impact staff morale
- Create systems that sustain engagement beyond a single training
"When teachers feel heard, supported, and empowered, campuses transform. Engagement rises. Collaboration deepens. Retention improves. Student outcomes follow."
Our Core Values
The Principles That Guide Our Work
We believe every student deserves a great leader. Our work is grounded in a commitment to equity, access, and excellence for all.
We meet leaders where they are. Our approach is honest, practical, and rooted in the real challenges of school leadership.
We hold ourselves and the leaders we serve to the highest standards — because our students deserve nothing less.
We are not in the business of incremental improvement. We partner with leaders ready to make lasting, systemic change.
We believe leadership is relational. We build communities of practice where leaders learn from and lift each other.
